Fulham boss Martin Jol played down Clint Dempsey's absence from their victory at Wycombe Wanderers.

USA international Dempsey, who scored 23 goals last season, is wanted by Liverpool.

But Jol said: "Clint has been away in America and was tired after the travelling. We have not had any bids and do not want to sell him."
