Fulham boss Jol not bothered by Spurs battle to keep Modric, Bale

Fulham boss Martin Jol isn't bothered about Tottenham's battle to keep stars like Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

Jol feels little sympathy for Harry Redknapp, who could lose Bale and Luka Modric, should he fail to guide the club in Europe's elite competition, and he does not miss the circus that currently surrounds the north London club.

"That is not my problem, that is their problem," Jol said about Spurs' unsettled stars. "I feel it is a good club to play for, especially in the last couple of years, and I don't think there will be too many players that will want to leave White Hart Lane.

"It suits me here, but I don't think it makes a difference if you are in Amsterdam or Hamburg or in London with Spurs. It is easier because you can do your business behind curtains and we certainly do that here and it suits me.

"There was pressure at Tottenham in the second year because they said we had to be in the top four."
