Fulham boss Martin Jol is delighted with the addition of Rene Meulensteen to his staff.
The former Manchester United coach joined Fulham last week.
"I found out from someone that there was a chance that maybe we could get René to Fulham," Jol told Voetbal International. "I called him and texted and am delighted that he has decided to come to Fulham.
"I felt that something had to be done after losing our last games against Southampton, Manchester United and Liverpool.
"Just like the players, I want to make my staff as strong as possible."
