Fulham boss Martin Jol says he could've quit for a big club job last week.
The Dutchman is being tipped for the boot with Fulham sitting in the bottom three.
"I had an offer from a top European club last week but I want to succeed here," he said.
"I don't want to say who. I don't want people to pity me either. I will be worse off than some people who have jobs without pressure. But I can take it.
"I still have the feeling I am still the man for this job. There will be better ones but I don't know who.
"I'm not someone who wants to escape all of the time. I'm a strong geezer."
