Fulham boss Martin Jol has cooled talk of a bid for Standard Liege midfielder William Vainqueur.

Vainqueur's agent Nico Vaesen claims that Fulham are keeping tabs on his client.

But Jol has rubbished reports linking him with a move for the former Nantes youngster.

He said: "I saw the name in the paper but that's the first time. I googled him after that."
