Fulham boss Martin Jol hopes Tottenham can keep hold of Gareth Bale.

Jol worked with Bale while Spurs manager.

"Hopefully he will stay at Spurs. It's a beautiful club," said the Fulham boss.

"He wanted to be in the Champions League but hopefully it is not a reason for him to leave.

"I think, hopefully, they can keep Gareth Bale because he's the best player in England."
