Fulham boss Martin Jol says Bryan Ruiz made the difference in victory at West Bromwich Albion.

Jol handed the Costa Rica international a start and was pleased with his performance.

"We have needed five or six victories in the relatively short term, because managers of all the teams currently have concerns. We are not in a great position," said Jol.

"At West Brom we saw the influence of Bryan Ruiz after an absence of seven or eight games."
