Dutch boss Jol will be reunited with Hughton at Carrow Road, who was his assistant when the two worked together at Spurs.
He said: “He got his chance to be a No 1 first at Newcastle and grabbed it, taking them back to the Premier League.
“He didn’t have the best of starts at Norwich but has certainly proved he is a manager.
“I’m looking forward to catching up with him after the game. I still keep in touch with him and he’s one of my better friends in football. He’s a fantastic guy.”
