Fulham boss Jol excited by Mesca return

Fulham whizkid Mesca is on his way back from serious injury.

The former Chelsea midfielder suffered a knee injury at the start of the season, but is back in full training.

"I took him straight into the first team because he's an exciting talent," said manager Martin Jol.

"He will be involved for the first time after six or seven months out.

"You saw in pre-season [what he can do] and he came on and scored against Nice. He's got everything to be a very big player for us.

"The main thing for him now [is to stay fit] because you don't want a young player to have a problem with his knee.

"He tells me he's stronger than before. He's quick and strong and he will come on in the last 30 minutes."
