Fulham boss Martin Jol has no regrets allowing Danny Hoesen to move to Ajax in the summer.

The young striker has been a revelation for Ajax this season.

But Jol insists: "Danny was too light for the first team. That's why we loaned him last year to gain experience at Fortuna Sittard. The Netherlands is an ideal country for him to develop.

"In the Netherlands you have less physical battles. Danny's just a good football player. I hope he will get his chance at Ajax."
