Fulham boss Martin Jol won't take no for answer as he plots to sign permanently on-loan Cologne fullback Sascha Riether.

Cologne will sell defender Riether, 29, at the end of the season and Fulham have a £1.2m option to make his loan permanent.

Jol said: "If he is happy, it helps. But if he's not, we'll still take the option!"
