Fulham boss Martin Jol has confirmed a deal is close for Sunderland wing-back Kieran Richardson.

The two clubs have agreed terms.

Jol said: "We are talking to Richardson and hopefully he will come to us. A fee has been agreed and I'm confident it will happen before the deadline. I see him playing as a winger."
