Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic says it was the right decision to play Ryan Sessegnon in defeat at Manchester City.

Sessegnon was not entirely successful with two of City's goals in a 3-0 win developing on his side. But Jokanovic had no regrets about the selection.

Jokanovic said, "It's a huge benefit for this kind of player. He has played a hundred games in The Championship and I thought he could have gone to the World Cup. Now it is time to play games in places like this.

"He is not a kid and part of his profession is to win, draw or lose matches. When I analyse the game, I think Ryan played well. He might have been stronger in both sides (attacking and defending), maybe he was a little bit shy.

"But he was satisfied and happy to participate in the game and I think it's very good for his development."
