Fulham boss Jokanovic backs Sessegnon for England call-up

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic believes Ryan Sessegnon is prepared for the possibility of an England call-up.

There are some suggestions that youngster Sessegnon, who managed 15 goals and six assists in the Championship this season, will get called up to the World Cup squad.

The 17-year-old does not even have Premier League experience, but his manager believes he has what it takes to excel for his national team right now.

"He has a really bright future in front of him, not only for Fulham but probably for England in the future or even immediately," the Fulham boss said to Sky Sports.

"Ryan needs the help from people around him and this kid doesn't need any pressure. He's only 17 and to talk about our possibilities on the back of one kid is not right.

"He's shown many times that he is a great lad, great footballer and great worker. We trust he'll be at his best level.

"I won and lost games, sometimes I played bad or very well, and it's not important. This kid has a really important future. He has a really clear mind.

"We know what is important. We are fighting for the Premier League and Wembley."
