Fulham boss Mark Hughes says they want Mark Schwarzer to sign a new contract.
Schwarzer's dream move to Arsenal collapsed after Hughes was unable to land a like-for-like replacement before the transfer window shut, and he sat out the first three Premier League games of the campaign with a back injury.
Hughes said: "Mark is here for the immediate future - although he's in the last year of his contract, we would like to keep him here for longer and, for the moment, he is a Fulham player."
