Fulham boss Mark Hughes says Steve Sidwell is up for their clash against former club Aston Villa.
Sidwell, 28, was warming the bench at Villa Park a month ago but has featured in three wins and an unlucky defeat at Liverpool since joining the Cottagers.
Hughes said: "There is a little of him having a point to prove. He has frustrations. From the games he's played you can see how good he is.
"His career at Reading was excellent and he played every week. He got a fantastic move to Chelsea and played a few games but moved to Villa because he wanted more game time.
"But he was frustrated by injuries and wants to get his career back on track."
