Fulham boss Hughes battling to hold onto job

Fulham boss Mark Hughes is fighting for his job after defeat at home to West Ham United.

A year after being sacked by Manchester City, Hughes had to endure chants of 'Hughes out' and 'You don't know what you're doing' as his strugglers were dumped 3-1 at home to West Ham.

That result dragged Fulham into the relegation zone for the first time this season following a run of eight games without a win.

Hughes admitted: "When you lose games at home, the fans are within their rights to vent their frustrations because they have not seen it happen regularly before.

"But deep down, the vast majority understand what we are trying to do here and know it will take time."
