Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has made a move for Stoke City striker James Beattie.
The Mirror says Hodgson wants Beattie on loan for the rest of the season to ease his injury crisis at Craven Cottage and also give the ex-England striker a fresh start.
Beattie had a dressing room bust-up with Stoke boss Tony Pulis at Arsenal two months ago and could now be offloaded, with Wolves and Blackburn also interested and monitoring developments.
Hodgson is desperate for more strike power as Bobby Zamora is a target for West Ham and US midfielder Clint Dempsey is out for six weeks with knee ligament damage.
