Fulham boss Roy Hodgson admits Zoltan Gera was as disappointed as Pascal Zuberbuhler after the Swiss was denied by UEFA from playing in last night's Europa League win over FC Basle.
In the end, Aussie goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was ruled fit enough to make the line-up, much to Gera's disappointment.
Hodgson explained: "We protested and appealed, they stuck firm by their decision and we abide by it.
"We could be in the same situation against Roma.
"But Zoltan Gera was disappointed, he was looking forward to putting the gloves on. I wasn't."
