Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes Aston Villa are still a top four threat, despite their inconsistent start to the season.

O'Neill's team lost 2-0 to Wigan on the first day of the season and crashed out of Europe on Thursday night.

But Hodgson said: "Everyone believes Villa will finish in the top half of the table and might challenge the top four.

"I saw them play Liverpool and they were outstanding."
