Fulham boss Hodgson: Big-name Premiership managers regularly reject foreign offers

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has no doubts that big-name managers in the Premiership have turned down foreign offers.

The 62-year-old turned down approaches from Sweden and Norway last month and believes the wealth and status of the Barclays Premier League help to explain why more leading managers do not move abroad.

"When you talk about the top managers who are capable of getting jobs at the highest level, for example Alex Ferguson, Arsène Wenger and David Moyes, I am sure they have had lots of chances to go abroad but they don't do so because they are already working in one of the best, if not the best, league in the world," he told Fultime magazine.

"They are already earning more money than they are normally going to get outside the country."
