Fulham boss Roy Hodgson wants to bring Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand back to London.
The Sunday Express says Hodgson is monitoring the unsettled Ferdinand's position at Sunderland, but he is likely to face competition for the former England Under-21 and West Ham defender from Spurs.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is ready to sell Ferdinand next month.
