Fulham attacker Bryan Ruiz is grateful to former club FC Twente for their welcome last week.
Ruiz spent just two seasons at FC Twente and received a hero's welcome on his return and the Costa Rican was clearly moved by the experience.
"FC Twente invited me over a couple of weeks ago and it was very nice for me," Ruiz told fulhamfc.com. "It was an emotional occasion being able to say goodbye to the supporters on the pitch.
"I didn't get to say goodbye before my move so to be given the chance to do that was good and it was a great reception. I'm very thankful for that. I have good memories of my time at FC Twente.
"During my two years here Twente won the championship for the first ever time so I think they recognise the job I did."
