Bryan Ruiz was delighted to be back for Fulham in victory at Wigan Athletic.

The Costa Rican ace was a second-half substitute in the win.

"It feels great to be back," Ruiz told "It was just a small injury but it took me three weeks to come back so it was difficult because I knew it wasn't a really bad injury but I had to take my time.

"It was great that I could help with the assist. It was really tough when I came in as the game was really intensive at that moment so it was difficult but the team did great. I just tried my best and it was great that I could assist and that we got the three points.

"After Wigan scored, and it was 2-1 with two minutes to go, it was difficult because they were pushing up but we did a great job during the whole game so we deserved to win at the end."
