Fulham and Aston Villa are chasing Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick.
The People says Sir Alex Ferguson may decide Carrick can go at the end of the season - or even in the January transfer window.
Villa have put Carrick on their wish list as Gerard Houllier looks to add some class to his team.
