Fulham have told Sky Sports News that they expect to appoint a new boss within the next 24 to 48 hours, with Mark Hughes favourite for the post. The Cottagers have been looking to replace Roy Hodgson since he left to take charge of Liverpool earlier this summer.
A number of names have been linked with the post but time has been taken to make sure the right man is brought in.
Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed stated earlier this week that he was in no hurry to make an announcement, but it now seems news could be imminent.
