Fulham are chasing Hamburg defender Michael Mancienne.
The People says Martin Jol has sounded out his old club about a deal for the versatile ex-Chelsea man, who can play centre-back, defensive midfield and full-back, and will decide on Monday whether to push ahead with a move.
Mancienne has been made available by HSV due to financial problems.
