Fulham attacker Bryan Ruiz has explained the mystery behind his shirt name.

The Costa Rican revealed the personal reasons why he wears his first name on the back of his shirt.

He said: "My name is Ruiz and Bryan is my first name. My name is from my father but he left the family when I was one year old.

"We didn't change the name, I kept it, but I like Bryan more and Ruiz does not mean a lot for me."
