Fulham ace Dempsey positive despite USA loss

Clint Dempsey says everybody involved with the USA national team has to remain patient following Tuesday's loss to Belgium. The US lost 1-0 in Brussels to take new manager Juergen Klinsmann's record to two losses and a draw since taking over from Bob Bradley at the end of July.

But Dempsey says, as always when a new coach comes in, that things take time and he insists that it will only get better under German legend Klinsmann.

"We've just got to keep moving forward, keep working on things," Clint Dempsey told MLSsoccer.com after Tuesday's defeat.

"It's my first game with the new coach and I'm looking forward to getting more time in training to work with him so I can help the team more.

"In the first 20 minutes, we moved the ball well, but just didn't create many chances," added Dempsey. "We played some good soccer at times. We responded well after the goal and we were always looking like we were maybe going to get the next one to equalize."
