Frustrated Mancini sees Man City let two goal lead slip

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was disappointed his outfit did not hang on for a win after throwing away a two-goal lead at Fulham. The 2-2 result meant City surrendered their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season.

And Mancini told Sky Sports: "I think we thought the game was finished. In the Premier League, the game is never finished.

"And the problem was that we were so tired after the Champions League in midweek, but if you score two goals and you're winning 2-0, I think it's important to control the game."

Asked if he should have made more changes to his side, Mancini replied: "We don't have many players in the middle of the park. We have just Yaya (Toure) and Gareth (Barry), so if I had other players, I would have made the changes. We have too many injuries in that area.

"The first half, when we dominated the game, we should have scored more than one goal.

"We are frustrated because when you are winning 2-0, you expect to take all three points."
