Frozen out Cagliari keeper Marchetti hopes Fulham, Arsenal try again in January

Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti will wait until January before moving to England.

Marchetti has been told he won't be considered for selection after failing to secure a move away before yesterday's transfer deadline.

Arsenal, Fulham, Celtic and Benfica all made contact with Cagliari for Italy's World Cup keeper, without success.

Marchetti now will have to wait until the winter market to get his move away.
