Former Aston Villa winger Steve Froggatt is disappointed with Marc Albrighton's departure.
The winger has signed terms with Premier League new-boys Leicester City.
"My initial feeling is one of sadness," Froggatt told the Birmingham Mail. "I was at Villa Park at lot towards the back end of last season when Marc was outstanding. He was shipped off to Wigan to play and I thought it was a little bit early for that.
"Then when he came back whenever I saw him in a Villa shirt I thought he was the best of a pretty average bunch. He showed the passion, drive and commitment that quite a few others didn't.
"He showed desire to play for the shirt and was playing like a player that had been at the club a long time and did not want to see them get relegated. He had that spark about him."
