Carlos Tevez has made contact with Manchester City, it is claimed. The Daily Express says the Tevez saga took a new twist last night when it was claimed he is too depressed to return to Manchester City.

A friend of Carlos Tevez said on his Twitter site that the striker had sent Manchester City a doctor's note saying he is "not in a fit state" to leave Argentina and resume training.

The Tevez camp refused to confirm or deny the claim but a City official said: "Carlos will remain in Argentina. This is an ongoing matter and the club will not be making a further comment."
