Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has resisted offers from PSG and Real Madrid during his career, it has been revealed.

A source close to Wenger explained to L'Equipe why the Frenchman was never tempted away from London.

The confidant said, "Arsene has always gone to the end of his contract.

"When Real or PSG came, most of the time, he was linked to Arsenal. Of course he was delighted by these marks of attention. But he knew he would never find the same latitude of operation in Madrid or Paris that he enjoys in London.

"At Arsenal, he's the boss. The board gives him absolute confidence."
