Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel felt they showed great character to come back and win at West Bromwich Albion.

Spurs fought back from going a goal down at the Hawthorns.

"Whenever you are down in the Premier League and you can come back and win it shows a great deal of character," Friedel told the Spurs website.

"At no time did we doubt the talent in the room but it's never easy to claw your way back, especially playing the way we were and with the other team at the top of their game.

"The gaffer had a few words with the lads at half-time and then the real Tottenham came out in the second half."
