Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel says the players are happy with the appointment of new manager Tim Sherwood.
Sherwood has been handed an 18-month deal by Spurs in the past 24 hours.
Friedel told talkSPORT: "I think it was the best choice.
"He can just carry on with what he knows best, which is Tottenham Hotspur. Tim has brought in a lot of positive energy.
"He's very knowledgeable about the game and more so than that he is knowledgable about Tottenham. He knows it inside out at all levels, from the youth all the way through to the first team, and he knows what the chairman will expect of him.
"A lot of the new signings are going to have to get up to speed with what he wants, but he is so straight and to the point that I don't think that is going to be an issue."
