Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel is keen to be part of the future at Ewood Park.

He said: "It's my eighth season at Blackburn and I love it here. This year is the strongest squad we've had since Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole were here.

"Our squad has improved and we go into games feeling we should get three points. If we don't win, we're very disappointed.

"We've got quality players, a fantastic manager, loyal fans and we're playing in an exciting league.

"This club has a great future."
