Frey casts doubt on Fiorentina future

Sebastien Frey admits he could quit Fiorentina this summer.

The French goalkeeper has long been linked with a series of top clubs around Europe, including Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan and Manchester City.

The failure to qualify for Europe could well precipitate a transfer for the Frenchman.

"Do I want a change of scenery? I spoke to Diego Della Valle about my future, as my contract expires in 2013," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"After my summer holiday, we will talk it over. In life you need new challenges and I won't deny that is my case too.

"Seeking a new challenge does not necessarily mean leaving Florence, as it could mean remaining with some changes.

"Fiorentina need a team up to the task and further reinforced. Next season we won't be in Europe, which means we must play in Serie A at the highest level. It requires a strong side."
