Celtic defender John Kennedy has suffered a fresh injury setback.

The on-loan Celtic defender suffered ankle ligament damage this week as Norwich City lost 1-0 to QPR at Carrow Road.

George Burley had travelled to watch Kennedy in action after receiving positive reports about his performances since moving on loan to the Canaries in July.

He is looking at centre-half options with skipper Stephen McManus suspended for the crucial visit of Norway on October 11.
