Fresh injury concern for Man City star Silva

Manchester City have suffered yet another injury setback, with midfielder David Silva likely to miss Sunday's crucial Premier League clash with Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium.

Silva was forced to leave the field early in City's loss to Leicester City on the weekend after he suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury picked up earlier in the season.

Silva joins a host of injured City players on the sidelines, including the likes of skipper Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne, Jesus Navas, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony.

"He is playing with a lot of pain in his ankle," City manager Manuel Pellegrini told reporters after the match.

"He twisted it again today, so we will see during the week what will happen to him.

"It's very difficult to know at this moment [how long Silva will be out]."
