Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson has suffered a new injury setback.

Johnson may have to have a third operation to cure the abdominal problem that has blighted his season.

The England Under-21 international has broken down in training once again after encouraging reports about his fitness early last week.

Johnson had two operations last season in a bid to cure the problem. And he may have to go back under the surgeon's knife if he fails to respond to more rest and treatment, says the Sunday Mirror.
