Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce has again come under fire from his former Bolton chairman Phil Gartside.

Having already claimed fans were "bored" with Allardyce's football before he quit the club in April, Gartside said yesterday: "The fans had voted with their feet. We'd gone from 19,000 season ticket holders down to 13,500 . . . people weren't happy with what we were doing."
