The Brazilian striker reportedly left the San Siro as soon as he learned he wasn't in Roberto Mancini's squad for the game.

Appearing to be unaware of Adriano's absence, Inter president Massimo Moratti reflected at the final whistle: "He understands that everyone decision is made to assist his improvement. We want him to be in shape so he can best express himself."

On this weekend's big match against Juventus, Moratti added: "The expectations will be a lot higher than for a normal game. It's a traditionally important match for the championship."
