French midfielder Tavares could soon make Fulham bow

Fulham manager Martin Jol has indicated that Mickael Tavares could soon be involved in the first team.

The 30-year old French midfielder, who has previously played with Slavia Prague, Hamburg and Middlesbrough, was signed on a short-term deal to replace the injured Mahamadou Diarra in October with Jol suggesting he could soon be featuring for the Southwest London club.

"Tavares was a back-up player for me for Diarra and Chris Baird," Jol told the Fulham Chronicle.

"There was not the situation where I could bring Tavares as well but hopefully he could be involved in the next couple of months."
