Reports suggest that Columbus Crew have signed French midfielder Leandre Griffit.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that the 25-year old is set to sign for the MLS and join Crew pending his International Transfer Certificate.
For Griffit to officially become a part of the Crew squad, the club will have to either trade or waive a player as all their roster spots are full.
He began his professional career in 2002 with French club Amiens before moving to England where he played with Southampton, Leeds United and Rotherham and then joined Swedish clubs Elfsborg and Norrkoping.
In 2008 he joined Crystal Palace but made just a few appearances before departing last year.
