Newcastle United striker Demba Ba feels the recent influx of French players will begin to produce goals for the club.
The French-born Senegal international, who has 14 of his own goals this term, saw Gabriel Obertan provide him with a neat cross moments after Hatem Ben Arfa put the Magpies in front in their 2-0 win at Bolton yesterday and he is backing the French connection, which also includes Yohan Cabaye and Sylvain Marveaux, to continue providing.
"Hatem was brilliant for his goal, and everybody is happy. Everybody can look forward to the next game at Liverpool (on Friday) and enjoy it now.
"It was a very important goal," he added of his 71st minute finish. "It was important, because after a row of six games, we needed a win. It is very encouraging for us ahead of the Liverpool game.
"The confidence never left the team - we always knew we were a good side. We just needed to do a couple of things to get back on the victory trail.""The French are going to have an influence in front of goal because we have a lot of French players and we work very hard together," Ba told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
