Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse is delighted that Sunderland are showing interest in his abilities.
The 26-year old Senegal international is being heavily linked with the Black cats with manager Martin O'Neill ready to make a move for him and his recent comments suggests he would be open to a move to the Stadium of Light.
"I love the Premier League and want to make my name there like my mate Demba Ba is doing with Newcastle at the moment.
"My German club Freiburg has their say as well and I have big respect to that club who made me who I am today.""I'm flattered by the interest of Sunderland and other clubs," he told Sky Sports. "I'd like to one day play in England.
Freiburg general manager Dirk Dufner admitted that Cisse could soon be on his way from the badenova-Stadion.
"We're keeping half an eye out on a new striker, because we're unable to actually rule out a move for Papiss," said Dufner.
