Freedman wants good fortune to smile on Palace

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman wants some good luck when he takes his side to Brighton for Tuesday night's derby. Palace lost 1-0 at Doncaster on Saturday courtesy of a deflected goal from ex-Eagles midfielder John Oster, and they also had a couple of decent penalty shouts turned down.

"I can't control the referee making decisions like that," said Freedman.

"I can only control the way we play.

"For the first five or six games of the season we have had a bit of luck and we've played well and won some games.

"But everything that could have gone against us, went against us at Doncaster."
