Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman says he is still keen to bring in more players to his squad despite having added Norwich striker Chris Martin to his ranks, reports the Croydon Advertiser.

"We might be able to bring in one or two more early next week," he explained. "I don't think anything will happen before the weekend but we are in talks over a couple of players and might be able to get something done by the start of next week.

"There are a few areas of the squad I would like to strengthen as we are short of cover in a few positions.

"We are light of cover at full back while I'd also be interested in bringing in another wide player, but the truth is I'd be interested in strengthening everywhere."
