Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman was relieved to see starlet Wilfried Zaha sign a new contract. The 19 year old starlet has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs but this week put pen to paper on a five-and-and-a-half-year deal to stay with the Championship outfit.
"From the club's point of view, it's fantastic news to see a young player commit his future to the club. He wants to get better and he wants to play week in, week out.
"For me as a coach, I look forward to working with him for longer than I thought I would." "Wilfried could be signed up for five months or five years and he would still be in at 9 o'clock in the morning working hard and working towards trying to be the player he is going to be," said Freedman.
